COVID-19: FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE
The team at The Oakalls Physiotherapy Clinic will ensure to do our absolute best to protect you during your visit to the clinic. We want to reassure you that appropriate measures have been put in place to safe-guard everyone, whether as a patient or as a member of our team. If you would like to read more on our health and safety policies then please click on the link below:
Pre-arrival:
On the day of your appointment please contact us if you have developed any new COVID-19 symptoms since your screening or if there is any other reason requiring you to self-isolate or shield yourself or someone in your household.
On arrival:
-
Please wait in your car or outside
-
You will be called into the clinic via the normal entrance and the door opened for you and closed behind you by the clinician.
-
You will then have your temperatures taken with a hand held non-touch thermometer.
-
The Clinician will log your time of arrival and your temperature
-
You will then be asked to wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap and water, dry your hands-on single use disposable towels and place these in the allocated yellow non-touch waste bin next to the sink.
-
You will be issued with a disposable face mask and will be asked to put it on.
-
Hand sanitisers will be available throughout the clinic and waiting room for patient use.
-
All our team will also be wearing appropriate PPE.
Wherever possible, only one person at a time should attend the appointment, unless you are accompanying a child or a vulnerable person or would like a chaperone.
During treatment:
The physiotherapists will be wearing a face mask, gloves and a disposable apron.
Patients will be asked to keep their own clothes on wherever possible, but if you do need to remove any clothes for treatment you will be asked to place these on a free-standing towel rail. We will ask you to keep your footwear on until you are seated on the treatment plinth and place them on prior to getting off the plinth.
We are allowing additional time between patient appointments to enable us to deep clean each room and sanitise any equipment which is used. Staggering patient appointment times like this will also reduce inter-patient contact.
Disposable couch roll and a fresh towel will be used for every patient.
After Treatment:
Once treatment is completed, we will ask you to sanitise and wash your hands prior to exiting the clinic.
Any payments can be made via our card machine (which will be cleaned between each patient) or if patients prefer, they can organise to make a BACS transfer. Please note that no cash payments can be accepted.
The Clinician will log your time of departure
Please note:
During Phase 2 of the COVID-19 pandemic toilet facilities will be closed to patients
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like any further information or have any questions.
We really look forward to seeing you back in our clinic!
